There are no diseases that are incurables; on the contrary, there are few diseases for which a man has not found a cure. Have you ever faced a situation, which has no solution? It is always advisable to prepare yourself to face any complex condition at any point of time; thus, accordingly, if we could better prepare ourselves with alternative treatment modalities that are existent, it will help manage 50 % of incurable diseases altogether, that too well within time! As a matter of fact, Stem Cell Therapy is one of those discoveries that have made it easier to deal with many incurable diseases. Some of such diseases which can be treated by Stem cells are Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA), Muscular Dystrophy (MD), Cerebral Palsy, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), Cystic Fibrosis, Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), Parkinson’s disease and the list simply goes on!

The current review will brief about stem cell treatment for some of the common diseases for which regenerative medicines and apparently stem cells therapy can work wonders.

Rheumatoid Arthritis

It is an autoimmune disease, causing chronic inflammation in joints affecting more than 2 million people around the world. The disease, being progressive in nature, takes a toll on structural and functional integrity of joints. Although treatments have improved over time to manage and prevent flare-ups, but no cure has been discovered so far to stop the progression.  At Advancells stem cells treatment is offered for arthritis, by re-infusing back patient’s own cells isolated from autologous tissues, such as Bone Marrow and/or Adipose Tissue for achieving successful results. This non-surgical procedure reduces joint pain and the need for going through painful joint replacement surgeries that come with their own side effects. Advancells thus, has effortlessly treated more than 100 patients, helping them to  overcome common arthritis related issues such as pain, stiffness etc. to achieve a better quality of life and health.

Muscular Dystrophy

It is one of the dangerous versions of neurodegenerative disorders, leading to muscle loss and weakness. It is a kind of genetic disorder, wherein one of the important proteins is missing or being mutated, resulting in prominent muscle wastage and abnormal muscular function. As such conventionally, no cure is available for muscular dystrophy, although regenerative medicine has the solution. It has been observed that mesenchymal stem cells isolated from your own body tissues can potentially differentiate into muscle cells. Due to their strong immunomodulatory properties, these stem cells can specifically express missing protein to restore the muscular function back on track. For that matter, Advancells is offering safe and effective treatments through autologous stem cells from your own bone marrow / adipose tissues.

Apart from muscular dystrophy, various other neurodegenerative diseases can be noted as dangerous and incurable due to their property of progressively degenerating nerve cells. Since related to brain, these diseases are primarily associated with symptoms such as loss of movement (Ataxia) and abnormal mental functioning (Dementia). With lifestyle changes and other unknown causes, these disorders are posing very high socioeconomic burden on the society. Some of the commonly known neurodegenerative disorders can be listed as Cerebral PalsyParkinson and Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), which are all related to abnormal functioning of the brain and nervous system. Although, conventionally, the only possible cure for neurodegenerative disorders was rehabilitation; whereas with recent development of stem cells therapy and their effective applications, it is now possible to stop the progressive neuronal loss associated with these disorders, reduce flare ups and undergo possible restoration of lost function.

Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary disease (COPD)

COPD also known as chronic obstructive airway disease is a type of lung disease characterized by poor passage of airflow associated with difficulty in breathing, excessive coughing and production of sputum. In such case, use of stem cells as a treatment regimen is quite appealing. Research has evidently suggested that once inside the body, these cells can regenerate new cells, by promoting increased vascularization and creating suitable microenvironment for residential stem cells survival as well as growth; thus, restoring normal functioning of lung to quite an extent.

Over the few years, stem cell technologies have become an increasingly attractive option to investigate and treat diseases, which are hard to cure. With a greater understanding of the capacity of stem cell technologies, there is growing hope that stem cell therapies will continue to progress into realistic and efficacious treatments for hard to cure diseases.
