Stem Cell Therapy for Female Infertility: Advancells Protocol
Stem cells derived from tissues such as bone marrow and adipose tissue have demonstrated regenerative potential in a variety of diseases and degenerative disorders. Bone marrow aspiration is fairly safe procedure with the risk of bleeding or infection, which are extremely rare when done meticulously in the hands of the expert. Stem cell is an effective method and regenerates endometrium with adult autologous stem cells after curettage, which is later supported with cyclical estrogen, progesterone, and aspirin for improving vascularization. Curettage/Hysteroscopy is done to evoke injury-induced inflammatory reaction and hyperemia as homing induction, which in turn would enhance the response of endometrium to cyclical hormones. It has been evidenced that the transplantation of different stem cells taken from bone marrow/adipose tissue had effects on endometrium such as declined the fibrotic area, an elevated number of glands, stimulated angiogenesis, the enhanced thickness of the endometrium, better formed tissue construction, protected gestation, and improved pregnancy rate.
Step 1- Qualification For The Therapy

Step 2- Source Extraction
Studies done so far have clearly indicated importance of stem cells isolated from one of the potent sources of our body, the bone marrow. Stem cells derived from bone marrow are found to be of hematopoietic origin, and are capable of developing into all types of cells of the same lineages. However, in some cases other important sources like adipose tissues as well as stem cells isolated from Human Umbilical Cord Wharton’s Jelly, can also be prescribed depending upon the requirements.
As discussed during the counselling, the specified amount of sample shall be extracted from the patient’s own body on the intimated date and time. For autologous isolation of a sample, i.e. isolation of a tissue like bone marrow from your own body requires application of a local anesthesia. The entire procedure of stem cell therapy should not take more than 7-8 hrs.
At the same time, to be able to extract your own platelet rich plasma; approximately 20 ml of peripheral blood will be drawn from your body that needs no anesthesia.
Step 3- Laboratory Processing
The extracted sample, will be sent to the government approved cGMP laboratory for processing. The sample processing will be done in a state of the art class 10,000 clean room in compliance with the ISO and GMP standards.
The sample will undergo minimum manipulation in our complete automated Sepax technology to be enriched with the pure population of stem cells culture. The isolated stem cells will be characterized for quality, purity and viability.
The client will be given a third party certificate from Internationally Accredited Lab for the quality purpose.
Step 4- Stem Cell Implantation
Bone marrow aspiration will usually be done from the iliac crest under local anesthesia. Aspiration will be done using bone marrow biopsy needle and syringe pre-washed with suitable anti-coagulant. Total 70-80 ml of bone marrow will be aspirated. The complete procedure takes around 2 hrs, right from extraction till infusion; and is strictly being carried out in sterile environment. Further to which, depending upon the route of infusion specified by our experts, stem cells will be instilled directly at the targeted site. We have standardized different route of infusion for different ailments, which can be noted herewith:
For Asherman’s Syndrome: After doing curettage and/or hysteroscopy, stem cell suspension (80-100 million cells) will be instilled in the uterine cavity using ET catheter (Embryo Transfer catheter). After procedure patient will be prescribed estradiol valerate for 20-25 days and medroxyprogesterone acetate for last 5 days. Regular follow up will be conducted of thickness of endometrium and blood flow. Response is expected in 3-4 cycles.
For Endometrial Thinning: Hysteroscopy (not mandatory) will be done before if needed. Progynova 4mg will be given to patient three times a day from day 2-day 10. If ET is less than 7 mm on day 10 then increase progynova dose to 8 mg three times/day. If ET<7mm then we will proceed with PRP treatment. A sandwich PRP will be offered, wherein PRP injections on 8th and 12 day of cycle will be infused through intra-uterine route using catheter. Post PRP, patient will be asked for follow up routine; and approximately 25 million of stem cells will be infused on day 10th directly into intra-uterine area through catheter.
For Poor Ovarian Reserve: As poor reserve ovaries are usually small and inaccessible through vaginal route, usually laparoscopic injection is done. During laparoscopy intraovarian instillation of about 50-100 million stem cells will be done at 3-4 sites in bilateral ovaries. Monitoring of antral follicles via ultrasound and AMH is done post procedure. 1-2 months later IVF-ICSI can be planned.
Follow up Treatment
In a post treatment care, the patient will be asked to visit the doctors after a specific period of time, for some rehabilitation programmes including Behavioural and emotional development, Communication and social Interaction, Self regulation, Cognitive and Adaptive skills.
