Allen Purdy, a 58 year old gentleman had been suffering from Macular Degeneration from childhood and was legally blind for past 42 years. He decided to opt for stem cell therapy with Advancells. Considering its clinical condition and pre-treatment assessments, he was administered Stem Cells isolated from Bone Marrow + Adipose Tissue via intravitreal as well as retrobulbar route to confirm their targeted delivery. The results were outstanding as confirmed and documented through his recent investigations.

Mr. Purdy was seen today. With a myopic correction his vision has improved to 20/400 OD and 20/200 OS. His examination showed some mild changes in his fundus appearance. He is very happy and now notices a significant improvement in the clarity of his vision although the Snellen vision has only improved slightly. He is very patient and understands this may take a year or more before he sees major improvement. We will see him back in two months.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.
Sincerely,
Steven L. Rodis, M.D., Ph.D.

Update on Al! It has been about 7 months since we returned from India! Al had an appointment this past week with Dr. Rodis for his eye exam. Because I could not be at the appointment, I called Dr. Rodis and asked him if he could look at something different this time. He did and shockingly, it was amazing. He tried Al with lenses and to their surprise, Al could clearly see several lines on the eye chart! Dr. Rodis, who had suggested the Stem Cell Procedure to us, couldn’t believe what he was looking at.! Al’s vision went from 20/400 to 20/200. HE IS STILL LEGALLY BLIND, BUT IT SEEMS TO BE ABLE TO BE CORRECTED WITH THE LENSES! We are beyond excited. We could not wait to call Vipul Jain at Advance Stemcell to tell him the news! So in short, The Stem Cells are Working! If anyone wants more information, please inbox me or call us! There really is too much to type. Al has been through so much in his lifetime, and no one deserves this more. Thank You all so much for your prayers and concerns! It is truly amazing! We took a chance and had faith and trust in our India family. They said they would stick by us and they have! I will keep all of you posted when I have more news!

Just a brief update on Al’s Stem Cell Procedure! As of our last ophthalmologist visit, two days ago, there is much improvement. Al’s vision has improved 25% since our return from India. We are quickly approaching the 6 month mark. Now is the time that the stem cells will start to show how hard they have been working. All that has happened is bonus! For those who are watching and waiting and also the skeptics, I can tell you simply, he is learning to see! Things that we all take for granted, he is learning. He is in the process of preparing a video so you can hear from him! You know, when you watch someone you love suffer in any way, you grasp and you take chances and you pray you made the right decision! I did this! Anyone who knows me will tell you I will fight! I did! I am so lucky to have my support system in India. Advance Stem Cells has been Amazing! Without them and their CEO Vipul Jain none of this would have been possible. I can’t say that all of our goals will be met! What I can say is that we will fight and with the help of Advance Stem Cells they will do whatever needs to be done. Check out their site! Advancells Stem Cells! I will keep you posted!

Sorry about the bad phone connection! We are extremely excited to tell you that the left eye is about 85% clear. Al is looking at you when he speaks to you, where in the past, he looked to the left of your face.Seems the blind spots are not present? We don’t know!. The second thing is when he reads he is focusing on a word and he feels his eye moving to read the next word. We explained that we don’t see his eyes moving and that is part of reading. He is able to focus on what he viewing! In the proper light conditions, he is able to see an object 15mm’s at a distance of .7m, where as prior to the procedure the same size object was only visible at a distance of .2 meters. Al has an appointment with Dr. Rodis on Tues. the 29th and hopefully we will be able to get an acuity measurement. Both eyes are functioning at a higher level. However the left eye, even with the blurred vision is stronger than the right eye. Our only regret with this whole procedure is that we are not together with you both to share in the progress. Some things are hard to explain! Of course Dr. Neha too! Please share this with her and send our regards and Thanks! I can not ever express to you the way we feel about all of you! We are still positive and moving ahead with a bright new future for Al.
We will continue to keep you posted!

Mr. Purdy was seen today. He is pleased with his improvement. His vision in the right eye was 20/400. The left eye has improved from hand motion to count fingers. He feels the haze continues to life. His pressure remain excellent at 9 OD and 13 OS. His reina looks good in the right eye with some haze still present in the left. We suggested he continue the prednisolone twice a day and stop the Alphagan. We will see him back in two weeks unless he has any problem. He appears to be happy with the progression.

Update on Al’s Stem Cell Procedure. Al was seen by his eye dr yesterday and we are so excited to say that his vision has already increased 15% in right eye, which is the bad eye! This is totally unexpected this soon! Both eyes are still very blurry. This is frustrating! Waiting very patiently for this to go away! It is also expected. We are in constant contact with his dr’s in India. The Stem cell Dr., Dr Jain is especially excited! More updates to come! I am happy to share this news! Advancells!

My husband, Allen Purdy and I are here in India under the care of Advancells. From our start with this journey, we have been nothing but pleased with the attention and care that we have received. Starting with the immediate response to our inquiry, we have been totally informed and all questions addressed immediately. All reservations were made with the help of Vipul Jain. Our airflight with Air India was about 14 hours long. At the airport we were greated by our concierge Prem and representatives from the Hyatt Hotel. Mr Jain had assured us That Mr Prem would be with us whenever and wherever we wanted to be or go! Mr Jain from Advancells has also been by our side to reassure and reconfirm all the details he had provided us with! We consulted with the team of Dr’s. At the Institute of Brain and Spine. Again, extreme attention to details and personal attention. As a nurse, I found the facility to be organized, clean and Professional attitude everywhere. Security was everywhere and I felt very protected and safe.
My husband was treated with kindness and professionalism. The procedure started with the bone marrow extraction and then the extraction of fat cells by Dr Mayank Jain who we were told was flown in especially for this procedure and the top in his field. He successfully extracted millions of stem cells that were of the best quality to be prepared by the Advancells facility and then injected into both eyes by Dr Neha Sharma Kandhari. Then the remaining stem cells were given via IV and closely monitored by Dr Jain. He also came to wait with me in our room for my husband to return from recovery. All the while explaining everything again that had been done. He informed me that the chances were 65% of success and though slightly lower than we were told, we still were confident that the procedure would give us the best outcome possible. A positive mindset is very important!
I would like to add that between Mr Jain, Mr Prem, Dr Neha and Dr Jain all of my needs and concerns were attended to. They made sure I had my lunch and dinner and refreshments during the procedure. They moved me swiftly and safely about the hospital and because I am a nurse, allowed me to gown up and visit him in the OR which was not only a comfort to me, it calmed my husband prior to his procedure. As to be expected, communication for my husband between nursing staff had issues, but Dr Neha quickly remedies the issues and we are satisfied. Dr Jain has offered that if we do not get the results we are satisfied with, that we can return and he will redo the procedure as part of our follow-up care at no expense. He will continue to follow us via email and we are satisfied with this.
As we are at the end of our journey, we feel that we are not just Clients and patients of Vipul Jain, Dr. Jain, Dr. Neha and Mr. Prem, we are lifelong friends regardless of the final outcome of the procedure. We strongly urge and encourage anyone who is looking for stemcells Treatment for a wide variety of medical conditions to contact Advancells and do whatever you have to do to get to India. We will always be grateful and thankful that these kind hearted professionals were by our side and helped us live this dream.
We would be glad to reassure anyone of our journey. You can contact Advancells for our contact information.
Again Thank You Vipul Jain for all you have done!
