Celina’s Journey: A Step Toward Calm and Connection

A story of Autism, love and the healing power of Stem Cells

When Celina Manatad, an 11-year-old from Australia, arrived at Advancells with her mother Filipinas Manatad, hope was shining quietly behind every word her mother spoke. Celina had been diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Level 3, along with moderate to severe intellectual disability, language and global developmental delay and underlying anxiety. Like many parents of children on the autism spectrum, Filipinas had faced countless challenges — from managing sensory sensitivities to navigating unpredictable moods and communication barriers.

The Challenges Before Therapy

Celina’s daily life was often surrounded by sensory overload. She would become overwhelmed by noise, light or even sudden touch — sometimes leading to aggressive outbursts that were difficult to control. Her communication was limited to simple words, without full conversations, which made it hard for her to express her feelings or needs. Despite her mother’s unwavering patience and countless therapies over the years, progress was slow and inconsistent.

Adding to the difficulty, Celina’s sensitivity made blood and laboratory testing nearly impossible — something her family struggled with before arriving at Advancells.

The Turning Point: A New Possibility

After years of searching for a treatment that could make a real difference, Filipinas learned about Stem Cell Therapy for Autism through Advancells’ patient stories. Encouraged by the potential for neuroregeneration and behavioral improvement, she reached out to the Advancells team for an in-depth consultation.

On October 29, 2025, Celina and her mother came for an OPD session, where our specialists carefully reviewed her case, assessed her medical background, and designed a personalized stem cell therapy plan.

The very next day, October 30, 2025, Celina underwent her Stem Cell therapy under the supervision of Advancells’ expert Patient support team.

The Experience and Care

Throughout the process, the team ensured that Celina felt safe, supported, and calm. Every step — from preparation to post-therapy care — was guided by compassion and understanding, acknowledging both Celina’s sensitivities and her mother’s hopes. Filipinas described the experience as “a turning point for our family.”

The therapy aimed to help improve cognitive processing, emotional regulation, and sensory response, while also supporting language and social engagement — key areas that often challenge children with ASD.

Looking Ahead with Hope

While each child’s journey is unique and progress takes time, Celina’s mother remains optimistic. She believes this treatment has opened a new chapter — one where her daughter can gradually find calm, confidence, and stronger connections with the world around her.

At Advancells, we continue to walk alongside Celina and her family, celebrating every small step toward independence, communication and joy.
